National Leadership Council for Liberal Education

As part of Liberal Education and America’s Promise: Excellence for Everyone as a Nation Goes to College—a decade-long campaign to champion the value of a liberal education—AAC&U formed National Leadership Council for Liberal Education. It is comprised of educational, business, community, and policy leaders who will exercise strong leadership for liberal education in their own spheres of influence and advocate for an empowering, inclusive, and public-spirited liberal education for all students.

In 2006, the Leadership Council will issue a statement encouraging a national commitment to principles of excellence for student learning in college and will participate in advocacy activities nationally and in a set of key pilot states across the country.
