AAC&U officers and staff regularly travel throughout the country, and occasionally the world, to speak and consult at AAC&U member schools through seminars, institutes, and workshops as well as in more informal gatherings. AAC&U staff also regularly speak on the value of liberal education at various media and public affairs events. These meetings are an opportunity for the membership to influence the direction of AAC&U's initiatives. We look forward to seeing you the next time we are on your campus.

AAC&U President Carol Geary Schneider traveled to both Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, and North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Georgia, to speak at faculty and staff convocation events in the third week of August.

AAC&U Vice President for Education and Institutional Renewal Alma Clayton-Pedersen was in Alliance, Ohio, August 21–22 to participate in Mt. Union College’s fall faculty conference, “Being Civil in a Diverse World: Building a Supportive Community.” She facilitated a discussion on making excellence inclusive and a working session called “Weaving Together Civility, Inclusiveness, and Excellence.” As part of this visit, Clayton-Pedersen facilitated a half-day session on diversity and civility with student community educators and program assistants.
