AAC&U officers and staff regularly travel throughout the country, and occasionally the world, to speak and consult at AAC&U member schools through seminars, institutes, and workshops as well as in more informal gatherings.AAC&U staff also regularly speak on the value of liberal education at various media and public affairs events. These meetings are an opportunity for the membership to influence the direction of AAC&U's initiatives. We look forward to seeing you the next time we are on your campus.


AAC&U President Carol Geary Schneider will travel to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to participate in the Futuring Diversity conference on May 17 and 18. She will serve as a panelist on a discussion about the future of diversity in higher education.


AAC&U Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs Debra Humphreys will participate in a community college conversation on the topic "What Does It Mean to Be Educated in the 21st Century?" at Maricopa Community College in Arizona on May 19 and 20. This conversation is part of a series of events supported by the National Science Foundation exploring the future of science education in the context of larger goals for undergraduate learning.
