AAC&U Organizes Bildner New Jersey Campus Diversity Initiative Meeting

AAC&U continues to support the Bildner New Jersey Campus Diversity Initiative (NJCDI) as it works to reduce prejudice, to promote intergroup understanding, and to foster the comprehensive institutional change needed to support such learning. Most recently, AAC&U collaborated with The Philanthropic Initiative to organize the third meeting of NJCDI schools, which was held April 2-3 in Long Branch, New Jersey. Drawing on the insights and achievements of the nine participating campuses, the meeting focused on how to best position each institution to achieve a high level of change in the final year of the grant. More information about NJCDI and details about the meeting can be found on AAC&U's Bildner Initiative Web pages.

Journal on General Education Features Findings from Survey of AAC&U Members

The latest issue of New Directions for Higher Education, "Changing General Education Curriculum," features findings from two surveys of AAC&U member institutions conducted in 2000. The main findings of the surveys also appear in The Status of General Education in the Year 2000, an AAC&U publication. To order a copy of the journal, visit Jossey-Bass online.
