Shared Futures: Global Learning and Social Responsibility 2011 Summer Institute

July 31 - August 5, 2011
The Hotel at Turf Valley
2700 Turf Valley Road
Ellicott City, Maryland 21042

What do students need to know about a world defined by interconnections and interdependencies? What skills will they need to navigate such a world, and what sort of general education will provide those skills? These questions will be addressed at the Shared Futures: General Education for a Global Century summer institute. Participants will work on refocusing general education programs to prepare students to address global questions such as environmental sustainability, health and disease, and conflict and inequality.
